The phrase “Taco Tuesday” has several different beginnings. In 1973 The Snow-White Drive Inn, in Rapid City, South Dakota coined the term to sell Tacos. The phrase took on more impetus on February 6, 1979. Selling Tacos in New Jersey at Gregory’s Restaurant & Bar. They copyrighted the phrase in 1982. Another business was selling Tacos in Wyoming, Taco John’s calling out Taco “Twosdays.” Tacos for 99 cents. They then copyrighted the phrase Taco Tuesday in 1989.
